James M. Donovan, 71, of Medway, died peacefully on Sunday, December 7, 2025 at the Timothy Daniels House in Holliston.
Born in Everett on December 30, 1953, he was the son of the late William and Bertha (Oliveri) Donovan.
James was a resident of Medway for the past 6 years. He grew up in Everett and graduated from Everett High School where he was the president of the chess club.
James worked as a programmer at Coronella & Associates in Millis for over 40 years. He had previously worked as a machinist at Loyal Machine Company.
James enjoyed skiing and was a member off a ski club,and also loved railroading and belonged to a railroad club.
He is survived by two sisters, Lillian Donovan of Medway and Grace Coronella of Ipswich.
He was the brother of the late William Donovan, Jr.
James’ funeral services will be held privately at the request of his family and are under the care of the Ginley Crowley Funeral home, 3 Barber Street in Medway ginleyfuneralhomes.com .
