FROM Franklin Arts and Culture:

Presented by the Franklin Cultural District in partnership with the Franklin Art Association, this project showcases artwork by artists from across the Franklin area.

By transforming public space into a platform for local expression, the Franklin Fence Gallery helps strengthen community identity, support local artists, and make art a visible, shared experience for everyone.

The Franklin Fence Gallery is a new public art initiative in the Cultural District designed to transform everyday spaces into accessible, outdoor community galleries. Installed along prominent fences and public pathways throughout downtown Franklin, the project will feature rotating exhibitions by local and regional artists, photographers, students, and community creatives. Our first partnership in this wave of public art, is the Franklin Art Association.

The Fence Gallery aims to bring vibrant visual art into the public realm, encourage walkability and exploration, and create new opportunities for artists to share their work with residents and visitors alike. By activating underutilized spaces with creativity and storytelling, the Franklin Fence Gallery continues the Cultural District’s commitment to making arts and culture visible, inclusive, and woven into the fabric of daily community life.

About our Public Art Partners: The Franklin Art Association was established in 1971 to provide a forum for the promotion of visual arts; for the preservation of the finest artistic traditions by means of exhibiting works, conducting classes, lectures, and sponsoring other activities favorable to artistic expression and to provide friendly exchanges among painters, photographers and those interested in the fine arts.
