Tri-County Sees Project Progress

From various vantage points around Franklin, the progress on the new Tri-County Regional Vocational Technical School, atop Brights Hill, is obvious. But when will it be done?

According to the school, construction of the new school continues to move forward on  schedule. Since breaking ground two years ago, (October 2024) the project has reached several important milestones, including the Topping Off Ceremony last September, which marked the completion of the building's  structural steel. Right now, work is focused on enclosing the building, installing mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, and continuing site improvements. Over the next year, construction will shift to completing classrooms and  career technical shops, installing specialized equipment, and finishing  the roadways, parking areas, and surrounding campus.  "It's exciting to  see this project take shape; after that- we will begin demolition of  the current building and complete the athletic fields," said Superintendent Karen Maguire.

"We  look forward to providing our students with a modern learning  environment that will support high-quality career and technical  education for many years to come," she added.
