Robert "Bobby" Bassignani passed away peacefully on September 14, 2026.
He leaves behind his beloved daughter, Tanya Hedtler, and his two cherished grandchildren Ellie and Julian. He is survived by his sisters, Paula Pasquantonio, Jean Bassignani, and Karen Gagnon; his sister-in-law, Judith Bassignani; and many nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly. He was predeceased by his brother, Stephen Bassignani, his brother-in-law, Samuel Pasquantonio, and his sister-in-law, Joy Orlando.
Whether you knew him as Bubbo, Bobby, Bob, Robert, Bad Ass Bass, or simply Bass, he was truly one of a kind. Bobby played hockey at Franklin High School and spent many years working at Norfolk Prison. You could always find him tending his garden, cheering on the Bruins, or listening to Rod Stewart a little too loud.
He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.
