State Senate Candidate Shawn Dooley Holds Kickoff

Multi-term Norfolk State Rep, Shawn Dooley held his official kickoff event for his campaign for State Senate Wednesday evening in Franklin.

The event, at the new Raillery in the Franklin Village Mall, featured a live band and attracted standing-room-only representation from towns across the district like Milford, Hopedale, Norton, Norfolk and Wrentham.

Also at the event was Marcus Vaughn, who is running to replace Dooley in the Massachusetts House as well as many local elected officials.

The event ran from 7 to 11 pm. Dooley is also making an appearance in Medway on Sunday.

After winning a Special Election in January 2014, Dooley was elected by voters in the district four more times.

He currently serves as the ranking member on the Joint Committee on Financial Services; the Joint Committee on Public Health; the Joint Committee on Election Laws; the House Committee on Federal Stimulus and Census Oversight; and Special Joint Committee on Redistricting.
