First responders were called to Franklin High School around 7:15 Thursday morning due to an apparent fire sprinkler leak or activation. No fire was present. Dispatch was not able to reach Mike D'Angelo, Director of Public Facilities and after several attempts, according to conversations on the emergency radio channel, ended up reaching out to his deputy, Kevin Harn, who brought the situation under control from a structure standpoint.
Meanwhile, cars and students were working their way around fire apparatus and police cruisers, making for a lively morning scene.
No word on whether there was any significant damage. Again, according to talk on the emergency channel, it appears there may have been human error involved in the mishap.
