Nuisance Storm Delays Trash, Closes Schools, Legislature, Municipal Offices

Gov. Maura Healey directed all non-essential Executive Branch employees not to report to their workplaces Tuesday, and the House and Senate said legislative offices in the State House will be closed. A Bureau of the State House official said the capitol building will be closed for the day.

Closer to home, early in the evening, despite a revised National Weather Service forecast, town officials decided to close offices, the library and public schools for Tuesday.

Trash and recycling collection was also put off meaning that collections regularly scheduled for Tuesdsay will be performed Wednesday, with a similar cascade of one-day delays for the rest of the week
