Medway Raptor Star Returns Home

Image

Monday, Raptor Tales Rescue of Shrewsbury announced that after 35 days of intensive care, "our eastern screech owl patient has made a remarkable return home" to Medway. The owl's treatment was complex, addressing several serious health issues that posed a significant prognosis.

However, the owl's resilience and determination yielded a outstanding outcome. Stay safe and have a long and healthy life! We commend our dedicated team for delivering exceptional care and express gratitude to the finder, Return2Wild, and Millis/Medway Animal Control for their assistance in transferring the owl to our facility. The bird was released on Sunday.

Raptor Tales Rescue is a veteran-run volunteer 501 c 3 non-profit wildlife center located in Shrewsbury, Massachusetts. They respond and rescue raptors in need in our area. The rescue accepts and rehabilitates wildlife from members of the public, local and state police, fire departments, animal control, Mass Audubon, MassWildlife, DCR, Environmental Police, and other licensed rehabilitators.
