"Be Prepared." "Be prepared for what?" "Why, for any old thing."

Yes, Antique Appraisal Day at the Franklin Historical Museum is upon us; Sunday afternoon from 1-5 at 80 West Central Street.  What to expect? Good humor, great information, and highly cost-effective oral evaluation of your treasured items.

Satisfy your curiousity, mark something as special for your family members, or venture out to an aucion or eBay with confidence.

And, did we mention, you can help out the Friends of the Franklin Historical Museum -- the volunteers that work year round to support programming and other needed investments at the town's treasure house, the Franklin Historical Museum.

Oral appraisals are just $5 for the first item and $3 for each additional item, up to a maximum of three items in total.

Your Appraiser is James C. "Jim" Johnston, in the Appraisal and Antique business for more than six decades, a retired educator, historian, and author...and a 'character' to boot.
