Emily Elizabeth (Virca) Anton, age 51 of Lilburn, Georgia, passed away on Saturday, June 1, 2024, after a four-month battle with pancreatic cancer. Emily was born on March 7, 1973, in Dayton, Ohio. She was the daughter of Nicholas Virca of Tampa, FL and Patricia Fuchs of Natick, MA. She was also stepdaughter to Catherine Virca and Herb Fuchs. Emily was married to Marc Anton for fifteen years and they made their home in Lilburn, GA.

Emily had a successful career in marketing and sales, spanning over twenty years in commercial business development, where she experienced ever-increasing levels of responsibility. Her career began at Liberty Mutual and later moved on to Auto Trader, where she joined the company as an inside sales representative and was promoted to Director of Field Services. She spent the past decade at Dollar Tree serving as Director of Business Development, where her efforts significantly expanded the company’s industrial market share. She loved to hire, train and mentor people with a passion for sales.
Emily was a graduate of Franklin High School and attended Westfield State College. While in high school, she was a real force of nature. She was a hockey cheerleader, a manager of the varsity baseball team, a performer in school musicals and a member of the Broadway Light at the Franklin School for the Performing Arts.

Among the many mourners who will miss her are her father-in-law and mother-in-law Charley and Ida-Marie Anton, sister-in-law Angela Anton, brother-in-law Charles Anton, stepsisters Andrea Boyle and Cara Fuchs, Aunt Barb and Uncle Larry Wilkens, cousins Ryan Wilkens and Mandy Butler, Aunt Elena Willoughby and Cousin Lena Willoughby. She also leaves dear friends “almost sisters” Joanna LaPlaca and Julie McCabe as well as the entire LaPlaca, Bergesen and Grasso families.
Emily is predeceased by her brother Matthew Virca, grandparents Ralph and Frances Trombetta and Nick and Helen Virca.

A memorial service will be held in July in Franklin, MA. Details will follow. In honor of Emily’s memory, the family would like to encourage donations to the American Cancer Society – donate.cancer.org.
