Over 30 people attended the launch party for a new poetry book by Franklin's Sara Letourneau. The event ran from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 14 at Love Your Shelf bookstore in Bellingham, which also stocks the book

"The launch party was a blast," said Letourneau, and "a very surreal and emotional experience, for sure." She said she had read her work for people at open mics and other events before, "but this one was special." She said that afterward,  people kept telling her during the book signing, and even now, days later, how much they enjoyed the reading and how much they're looking forward to savoring Wild Gardens on their own time. "Now I'm excited to hear what they think of the book," she added.

Letourneau said she has several readings scheduled to promote Wild Gardens over the coming weeks and months, including:

Thursday, October 3, 7:00 p.m.: Dire Literary Reading Series & Open Mic, on Zoom and Facebook

Thursday, October 10, 7:00 p.m.: Pour Me a Poem, 51 Park Street, Mansfield, MA

Sunday, October 13, 1:00 p.m.: Slightly Offbeat Poets, 112 Fabyan Woodstock Rd, N Grosvenordale, CT

Saturday, November 9, 5:30 p.m.: Reading & Open Mic at Captain's Manor Inn, 27 West Main Street, Falmouth, MA

Friday, November 14, 7:00 p.m.: Wild Hearts Open Mic, 777 Shawmut Ave, New Bedford, MA
