This year, local historian, Dr. R. A. Lawson, is holding his annual Halloween Cemetery Tour the day BEFORE Halloween, Thursday, Oct 30, rather than on Halloween itself.
Join Lawson for this annual Franklin tradition. Weaving the history of gravestone symbolism with local and broader New England history, Dr. Lawson brings to life the stories of our predecessors with tales of tragic death, love lost, murder, and even treason!
Who needs spooky ghost stories when the real history is truly sensational and close at hand?
All are welcome. There is no cost though donations to the Franklin Historical Commission Gift Fund are encouraged and gratuities are accepted. Meet at the cemetery at 5 pm.
