The national Episcopal Church and Scouts America awarded Franklin's Randy LaRosa with the prestigious National St. George Award Sunday at St Johns Church in Franklin, above, left to right, Randy's daughter-in-law Samara, son, Randy, Randy himself, wife Denise and daughter Kara. The award was presented by Arch Priest John Bacon of the Eastern Orthodox Church, pictured below with Randy.

LaRosa, a lifelong resident, multi-instrumentalist and music educator, has been involved with Scouting most of his life. He is also currently a member of the Franklin Historical Commission.
The St. George Award of the Episcopal Church is a national
recognition to acknowledge distinguished service by an adult in the
spiritual, physical, mental, and moral development of youth through
service to the Church and through national youth agency programs. The
award may be presented to any adult, including laypersons, ordained
persons, professional church workers, men and women who are active in
their church and in one or more of the national youth agencies.
