MEDWAY: Richard Philip Caroselli

Richard Philip Caroselli, 69, of Medway, passed away on Saturday, December 13, 2025, after a long, courageous battle with cancer. Born in Boston, he was the son of the late Mary (Krech) and Philip Caroselli. He was the beloved husband of 39 years to Robin (Boisse) Caroselli.

Richard was the devoted father of two children, Gregory Philip Caroselli of Franklin and Leanna Marie Troiano and her husband, AJ, of Quincy. He was always there for them, attending many games, performances, school events, and will be remembered fondly as a doting dad and lifelong support system. He also leaves behind his beautiful grandson, Anthony Troiano, whom he also treasured greatly during their short time together.

Richard began his long career in law enforcement with the Norfolk County Sheriff’s Department, and from there to the Trial Court in Dedham, where he served as Assistant Chief. He was very passionate about his career and those he worked with. He was often mentoring the workers he cared for throughout his years of service, both professionally and personally. At retirement, he was Chief of Trial Courts at Worcester County, where he was in charge of the Dudley, East Brookfield, and Uxbridge courts.

Richie, as his friends knew him, had many close friendships throughout his life that he treasured deeply, and will be remembered by many outside the family. He leaves behind his many friends from his childhood in Dedham, his Westfield State College buddies who have always been there for one another, and his work colleagues that he kept in touch with over the years. Richard will truly be remembered for his kind heart and assistance to so many people.

Funeral arrangements are being held privately and are under the care of the Chesmore Funeral Home of Holliston.
