IFB/HOT-IN-PLACE ASPHALT RECYCLING LEGAL NOTICE Invitation for Bids (IFB) TOWN OF FRANKLIN In accordance with MGL c. 30 section 39m, it is the intention of the Town of Franklin to retain the services of a construction firm for the purposes of performing hot-in-place asphalt recycling by heater scarification of existing asphalt pavement on various streets in the Town of Franklin. Project: Bidders must be pre-qualified with MassDOT for PAVEMENT - RECLAMATION for the amount of the Estimated Construction Cost indicated below. Work under this contract shall consist of the Contractor performing a process of asphalt surface rehabilitation that consists of softening the existing flexible pavement with heat and thoroughly stirring spinning or tumbling the mixture, applying an asphalt rejuvenator, milling/remixing, reshaping, and compacting the hot in-place recycled surface. Work under this Contract shall be paid for at the contract unit bid prices, which shall constitute full compensation for all material, labor, equipment, etc., required to satisfactorily complete the work. BID/RUBBER CHIP SEAL SURFACE TREATMENT LEGAL NOTICE Invitation for Bids (IFB) TOWN OF FRANKLIN In accordance with MGL c. 30 section 39m, it is the intention of the Town of Franklin to retain the services of a construction firm for the purposes of furnishing and applying a Rubber Chip Seal Surface Treatment on properly prepared bituminous streets within the Town of Franklin. Project: Bidders must be pre-qualified with MassDOT for PAVEMENT - SURFACING for the amount of the Estimated Construction Cost indicated below. The work to be performed will consist of furnishing and applying a 20% Asphalt-Rubber Surface Treatment on properly prepared bituminous streets at various locations, and an immediate application of aggregate to the treated roadways in accordance with the specifications. Work under this Contract shall be paid for at the contract unit bid prices, which shall constitute full compensation for all material, labor, equipment, etc., required to satisfactorily complete the work.
