On May 1, 2026, at 10:30AM on Friday, according to the Milford Police, the Milford Public Safety Communications Center received a 911 emergency call reporting a past assault at Birmingham Court in Milford. As a result, one male was been taken into custody, while another was been transported to UMASS Memorial Medical Center in Worcester.
The Worcester County District Attorney's Office later identified the victim as Michael
Albro, 54, of Medway, who died as a result of the incident the following day, according to
investigators
Although there were reportedly threats and screams coming from the address overnight, first
responders were not called to Birmingham Court, a Milford Housing
Authority complex off Summer Street with 119 housing units, until Friday morning.
Online sources indicate Albro had been a Milford resident at some point and may have been employed in the optometry field at some point in the past.
