Lynne (Ellis) Huggan, 79, of Bedford, NH, passed away peacefully in her home on Monday, June 1, 2026. She was born on April 5, 1947, to the late George H. and Helen J. (Eastman) Ellis, in Milford, MA.
Lynne was a very dedicated and hardworking woman with a lifelong passion for sports and music. She loved basketball, skating, and softball in her youth, and later in life enjoyed ballroom dancing, bowling, reality competition TV shows like The Amazing Race, reading, and playing cards and board games with her best friends as well as her grandchildren.
Lynne shared 41 years of marriage to Gerald “Jerry” F. Huggan before his passing in 2010. Lynne loved to travel with Jerry and spend many summer vacations together in Rockland, ME with their family. Some of her fondest memories also took place at their old residence in Methuen, MA where they hosted many pool parties over the years for their children and grandchildren.
Lynne was raised in Franklin, MA and attended local schools where she participated in various sports, as she was known for her athleticism, as well as academic clubs. Following high school, Lynne attended a secretarial college and worked as an administrative assistant for many years. From there, she went on to work for the head of the anesthesia department at the Deaconess Hospital in Boston, a courier company that she operated with her husband Jerry, and finally as secretary at the First Congregational Church in Methuen, MA. While working for the Church, Lynne was able to spend precious time with her grandchildren, as they attended programs there as well.
Lynne is survived by her children Lynne Pelletier and her husband Brian, Paula Fetty and her husband Matthew, Douglas Huggan and his wife Inge, and her step daughter Christine Garofalo; her grandchildren Aaron Fredette and his wife Monica, Ryan Fredette, Samantha Fetty, Megan Fetty, Jillian (Strzesak) Falco and her husband Philip, Zachary Strzesak and his fiancé Jaila, Allix Huggan, Kevin Huggan, and her step grandchildren Peter Garofalo, Jeffrey Garofalo, and Kayla Garofalo; her sisters Diane Ducharme and Charlene Arbour; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends and family are invited to visitation on Sunday, June 7, 2026, from 11am – 1pm at the Carrier Family Funeral Home located at 38 Range Road, Windham, NH 03087. Visitation will be followed by a mercy meal in the function hall of the funeral home soon after. Interment will be privately held at a future date for family in Dowling Park, FL, where Lynne will be laid to rest with her husband Jerry.
