From the start of next week, the Franklin Town Common will be transformed into a carnival with half-a-dozen community groups planning to provide food and refreshments. And this year, Saturday July 2 will feature fireworks!
The duo that powers the Franklin July 4 Coalition, Joe Carmignani and Paul Kortick, convened a dozen or so people associated with the Democratic Town Committee, the Republican Town Committee, Rotary, Temple Et -Chaim, and the Rod & Gun Club to discuss final setup and logistics – and what the public can expect when the event opens Thursday afternoon.
