PhysicianOne Urgent Care Partners with Local Photographer

PhysicianOne Urgent Care (P1UC) recently opened up its newest center in Franklin. What most people might not know is how the company is working to shine a spotlight on other small businesses within its centers.

In Franklin, PhysicianOne teamed up with local photographer, Peter Willis, to commission art for the walls of their new facility. Peter is a Franklin native who was born with Global Developmental Delays, later diagnosed with a rare syndrome called Lujan Fryns. After discovering his love for photography while attending Franklin High, Peter has made his passion a career as he now works photographing special events, real estate and local businesses.

Peter says he first got interested in photography when his stepfather bought him a basic camera when he was 12. As he improved, he got better cameras and now uses a Nikon Z6 mirrorless. And he says he thinks he “sees things that others don’t see.”

Favorite themes including nature, lighthouses, the sun at dawn, and flowers, but he also does candid shots of people and event photography.

For PhysicianOne he provided eight 20x30 images of scenes around Franklin.

And, he adds, he is currently working on self-publishing a calendar.

In the past he has executed calendar projects for the Hockomock Y. Peter said he is particularly excited about the opportunity to do a commercial installation for PhysicianOne.

“At PhysicianOne Urgent Care, we are committed to supporting the communities we serve and the people who live there,” said CEO Lynne Rosen. “This goes beyond the walls of our centers, beyond exam rooms or telehealth visits to find where we can make a difference. When designing our centers, we always aim to include art from local artists if possible. We knew Peter would be the perfect fit to help us decorate our new Franklin center after hearing about his story and passion for photography. As the first local business to commission work from Peter, we were blown away by his talent and are excited to help him further his photography career,” Rosen added.
