David C. Masters Jr., 50 of Wareham and formerly Franklin passed away peacefully in his home Sunday, September 25th with nephews Matthew Feeley, Rob Woodman and friend Allison Just by his side. Dave fought courageously against cancer while remaining optimistic until the end, continuing to make us all laugh. Born in Somerville, MA, David was the son of David Masters, Sr. of Wareham and the late LoAnn Rochatka. Dave is survived by his wife Donna J. Masters of Franklin, daughters Brittney and Lindsey, grandson Finn and dog Lily. Also survived by brother Josh Masters, sister Jessica Masters and beloved uncle Ted Masters of Wareham along with Denise, Audra, Andrea and Kevin Jacobs. Preceded in death by his sister Robyn Bowker and mom Dreena Jacobs.
Dave enjoyed fishing, hunting, country music, keno and football (although a Packers fan, we didn’t hold it against him)! He loved sitting around with his buddies solving the world’s problems. He was an avid Star Wars and Star Trek fan. Known to many as Santa Dave, he enjoyed being Santa every holiday season for 30 years delighting children of all ages.
Above all, Dave enjoyed spending time with family and friends. If you were lucky enough to be loved by Dave then you were family! Everyone loved his contagious smile, infectious laugh and big bear hugs. He leaves behind so many loved ones including his nieces and nephews; Alysha, Ben, Tyler, Nicki, Joe, Gabrielle, Noah, Victoria, and Maia.
A celebration of life to be held at a later date. To leave a message of condolence please visit www.warehamvillagefuneralhome.com
