Phyllis I. (Bertone) Daigle, 94, of Bellingham died peacefully on September 8th at Countryside Healthcare in Milford.
She was the wife of the late Gerard L. Daigle Sr. Born in Franklin she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Antoinette Bertone.
Phyllis was a graduate of Franklin High School and began her working career as a telephone operator for AT&T. At the tine of her retirement, she was employed by the Town of Bellingham School Department as a cafeteria worker at StallBrook School. She was a longtime communicant and volunteer at St. Blaise Church.
Phyllis is survived by her children Carol Indelicato, Lynn Bruce and her companion Ed Clifford and Gerard Daigle Jr. and his wife Jane, 8 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brothers Joseph Bertone and Robert Bertone and his wife MaryAnn of Franklin. She is predeceased by her son-in-law Joseph Indelicato, her brother Leon "Sonny" Bertone and his wife Priscilla, sister-in-laws Lillian Bagdasarian and her husband Samuel, and Frances “Franny” Bertone.
Arrangements will be private under the direction of Cartier’s Funeral Home, 151 So. Main St., Bellingham. A Memorial Mass will be held at a later date.
Donations in her memory may be made to Poor Clare Nuns, 590 Gay St., Westwood, MA or the charity of ones choice.
