Linda Reed Pike, 86, of Bellingham, passed away unexpectedly on February 19 due to complications during surgery. She was born June 25, 1939, in Lebanon, NH, and throughout her childhood and teen years, she lived at various times in Vermont, Florida, Connecticut, and New York.

In 1958, Linda met Richard (Stan) Pike at the University of New Hampshire, and they began a lifelong relationship that lasted 64 years until Stan’s passing in 2022. They lived in Medway for 47 years, where Linda and Stan joined the Community Church in the 1960s and raised their sons, Jeff and Jim.

Linda was passionate about raising her sons, and she had a unique ability to connect with many people—whether family, friends, or people she met while out and about. If you ran into Linda, you were sure to get a cheerful greeting. She had a canny sense of humor and loved to laugh. Linda was also a huge fan of Jeopardy, going back to the 1960s.

After college, Linda started a career in social work and then focused on her family. She also worked for many years at specialty gift and furniture shops, enjoying the many customers she met.

Linda was predeceased by her husband Stan, her parents, Dorothy (Jean) and Lionel (Larry) Reed, and her sister, Janet. She is survived by her son Jeff and his love Robin, son Jim and his wife Ellen, and six grandchildren—Cole, Tate, Julie, Reed, Luci, and Tom, along with their spouses and fiancées, Catarine, Kayla, JD, and Sarah.

Linda’s lasting legacy will be the love and support she gave to her family and friends.

A wake will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 27, at the Ginley-Crowley Funeral Home at 3 Barber Street in Medway ginleyfuneralhomes.com followed by a memorial service at 12 noon.

Linda’s family and friends can honor her memory by donating to The Purr-fect Cat Shelter in Medway.
