FRANKLIN: Nanella DiCamillo

Mrs. Nanella T. (Grassi) DiCamillo, 102, of Milford MA and formerly of Franklin MA died Thursday (February 19, 20026) at Countryside Healthcare of Milford after a period of declining health.

Nanella was born in Milford MA, the daughter of the late Dominic Grassi and the late Assunta (Tocci) Grassi, and attended Milford public schools.

Nanella was first employed as a young woman working at the former Public Cleaners located in Milford MA, and then later at their location in Franklin MA. Following that she was employed at a company located in the Carryville section of Medway MA. Lastly, she was employed for many years at Corning Medical Devices located in Medfield MA, from which she retired.

Nanella had been a resident of Milford MA most recently, but had been a longtime resident of Franklin MA. She was a longtime communicant of St. Mary’s Church in Franklin MA.

While a resident of Franklin MA she was an active member of the womens bowling league at the former Ficco’s Bowling Alley in Franklin MA. As a younger woman she loved to go dancing with her former husband, her siblings & her many friends.

Nanella is survived by her 2 daughters: Sandra Fitzpatrick and her husband Alan Green of Milford MA and Kathleen Turieo and her husband Edward Turieo of Brewster MA and formerly of Franklin MA; her 4 grandchildren: Melanie Turieo and her husband K. C. Marshall of Franklin MA, Christopher Turieo of Franklin MA, Kevin Fitzpatrick and his wife Anne of Somerville MA and Daniel Fitzpatrick and his wife Melissa of Greenbrae CA; her 6 great grandchildren: Wes Fitzpatrick, Hayes Fitzpatrick, Charlotte Fitzpatrick, Leo Fitzpatrick, Calvin Marshall and Nathaniel Marshall; also several nieces & nephews.

Nanella was the sister of the late Guido “Jack” Grassi; the late Americo Grassi; the late Amalia Acquafresca; the late Concetta Pettinari and the late Josephine Rogers.

Her funeral will be held Tuesday (February 24th) from the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home, 44 Congress Street, Milford MA followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00am in St. Mary’s Church, 1 Church Square, Franklin MA. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Milford MA. A visiting hour will be held Tuesday (February 24th) from 9:15am to 10:15am at the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home, prior to her Funeral Mass.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis TN 38105.
