Franklin Police Officer Becomes Upton Chief

Nick Palmieri, a long-time member of the Franklin Police Department made a big move this month to Upton-- where he has been made the new chief of police.

Palmieri began his career in Franklin in April 2017 as a Patrolman. From July 2019-June 2021 he was a Detective in the Department before being promoted to Sergeant, a position he held until January of 2025.

But Palmieri is no  stranger to Upton. He was a Patrolman there from Jul 2005 - Apr 2017.

Palmieri began his career in law enforcement as a New York City Patrolman.

He has a BS in Psychology from Northeastern University and earned a Master of Arts in Criminal Justice and Law Enforcement Administration from John Jay College (CUNY).
