William F. Reardon, 93, passed away on April 18, 2026. Bill was born on May 12, 1932 in Medway, Massachusetts. He graduated from St Mary’s High School, Milford, and Holy Cross College. Bill went to Naval flight school in Pensacola, Florida, served on active duty from 1954 to 1957 and in the reserves until the early 1960s. While in Pensacola he met his beloved Bettye Cox. They were married in 1956, and were together nearly 63 years, when she passed on March 30, 2019.

Bill is survived by his children, John Reardon and spouse Janet of Wareham, Massachusetts, William Reardon and spouse Diane of Medway, James Reardon and spouse Katherine of Natick, Massachusetts, Caroline Anderson of Wareham, and Matthew Reardon and spouse Danielle Burdo of Millis, Massachusetts. He was the devoted grandfather of 14 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother Joseph Reardon of Barnstable, Massachusetts.

Bill is predeceased by his parents John and Caroline Wilson, brother John, brother Edward and sister-in-law Ann Doherty, brother Robert and sister-in-law Thomasina Dexter, sister-in-law Eileen Lynch (brother Joseph’s spouse), and son-in-law Sean Anderson.

Bill owned and operated Yarnspun, a textile spinning company, in Medway from the 1960s to 1980s. He owned Appraisal Management in Medway and prepared residential and commercial appraisals from the mid-1980s to the late 1990s. Bill was a member of the board of directors and served as president of the Charles River Bank, formerly the Medway Cooperative Bank, for many years.

A member of Saint Joseph Parish, Bill had been a CCD teacher, chaperoned CYO ski trips, and belonged to the Knights of Columbus.

Bill was a multi-rated flight instructor and taught many students. He was a founding member of the Medway Flying Club which was originally based out of Norfolk Airport on a grass landing strip. He remained a member and kept his pilot license well past the age of 80.

Bill was an avid alpine skier and member of the Golden Gliders Ski Club. He and Bettye enjoyed many winters in North Conway, New Hampshire, skiing and socializing with friends. He enjoyed boating and organized many boat rides around Buzzards Bay, to the Chart Room, and to Martha’s Vineyard. Bill also golfed and enthusiastically provided lessons and tips to less experienced golfers.

Bill liked traveling. He, Bettye, and friends went on many cruises and trips to Europe as well as domestic destinations.

Bill always enjoyed a party and having people around him. Bettye graciously and superbly accommodated whether it was a spur of the moment cook out or a planned formal dinner. There were many gatherings of friends and family at the house in Medway, the cottage at Hamilton Beach, and the condo in North Conway on holidays, birthdays, reunions, and “just because”.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral Mass on Monday, April 27, at St Joseph’s Church in Medway at 10 a.m. Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 2 – 5 p.m. at the Ginley Crowley Funeral Home, 3 Barber Street in Medway ginleyfuneralhomes.com
