Hildegarde Nancy (Morang) Flood, 83, of Medway, died peacefully on Monday, April 20, 2026 at her home surrounded by her family. She was the beloved wife of Thomas J. Flood to whom she married on April 27, 1963.
Born in Milford on December 24, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Hilda (Rollins) Jewer.
Hildegarde was a lifelong resident of Medway, graduated from Medway High School in 1960, and earned her nursing degree from Framingham Hospital School of Nursing.
She worked for many years as a salesperson at Macy’s Department Store.
Hildegarde’s life was about her family. She loved her grandchildren and her beloved dog Nikki.
Besides her husband, she is survived by her daughter, Cynthia DeJoie and her husband Dave of Medway, two sons Timothy Flood and his companion Meghan Portmann of Franklin and Thomas Flood, Jr. of Medway, five grandchildren Nicholas DeJoie and his wife Kelsey, Lauren DeJoie, Andrew DeJoie, Trent Flood and Tyler Flood, and two great-grandchildren Lila and Vivienne DeJoie.
She is also survived by two sisters, Joan Griffin of Windham, New Hampshire and Kathy Jean of Waco, Texas.
She was the sister of the late Beverly Watson.
At the request of Hildegarde’s family, graveside services will take place privately at Evergreen Cemetery in Medway.
