FRANKLIN: William L. Slade

William L. Slade, 65, of Upton, Massachusetts, and a former resident of Franklin, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, on April 18, 2026. He was the beloved life partner of the late Barbara E. White, who passed away in 2018.

Born on July 14, 1960, in Boston, Bill was the oldest son of the late William J. Slade and Barbara A. (Pitts) Slade.

Bill was raised and educated in Massachusetts and was a former student at Catholic Memorial. He was a longtime member of St. Theresa of Avila Parish in West Roxbury, MA. A devoted sports fan, Bill was a die-hard supporter of the New England Patriots and proudly held season tickets for many years.

He is survived by his loving children: Carlton Ernst and his wife Charleen of Mendon, MA, and Jacqueline Paquette and her husband Joseph of Bismarck, ND. Bill is also survived by his siblings: Kathleen M. Cummings and her husband Donald of Blackstone, MA; John P. Slade and his wife Laura of Bellingham, MA; David A. Slade and his wife Mary of Bradenton, FL; and Steven M. Slade and his wife Rebecca of Franklin, MA.

Also surviving are his cherished grandchildren, Owen Ernst, Nicole Ernst, and Paityn Paquette, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Saturday May 2, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Charles F. Oteri and Son Franklin Funeral Home, 33 Cottage Street, Franklin, MA.
