Robert Joseph Wasnewski, 90, of Medway died peacefully April 23 at Milford Regional Medical Center after a brief illness in the company of his beloved family.
Born in Milford, March 21, 1936, the son of the late Robert S. and Mary V. (Saulen) Wasnewski, Robert was a lifelong Medway resident.
Robert was a graduate of St. Mary’s High School in Milford.
He had been a salesman at the Jordan Marsh store for many years and also at Gould’s in Medway.
Robert had been a volunteer at the Fatima Shrine in Holliston for many years.
He enjoyed gardening, especially flowers, and also enjoyed reading, watching old movies and looking into the history of Medway.
He is survived by his brothers, Richard K. Wasnewski of Medway and Ronald Wasnewski and his wife Anne of Medway.
He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
His funeral service will be held on Friday, May 1 in the Ginley Crowley Funeral Home (ginleyfuneralhomes.com) 3 Barber Street, Medway at 10:00.
Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Medway.
Visitation will be in the funeral home on Friday from 9:00-10:00a.m.
The family thanks the excellent care that was given to Robert by the staff at Milford Hospital.
